Are Guinness and other beer companies right to have boycotted the St. Patrick’s Day Parade?

Guinness announced Sunday that it would remove its sponsorship of the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade because of the event’s discriminatory rule that prevents LGBT families and organizations from openly marching down Fifth Avenue.  The decision follows Mayor Bill de Blasio’s decision not to participate in the parade. The loss of Guinness, one of the world’s top beer brands, appeared to increase pressure on other companies to drop their sponsorships from the parade. Two other major beer companies, Sam Adams brewer Boston Beer Co. and Heineken, also dropped their sponsorship of parades in Boston and New York.Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.
